Lindsay Rader, Piano

Lindsay Rader is a pianist based in San Francisco. She is currently the Assistant Director of Music at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, where she also teaches AP Music Theory. Lindsay is active as a collaborative pianist, often performing as a recitalist, accompanying singers at American Conservatory Theater, and working as a teaching artist at San Francisco Opera Guild.

Lindsay is passionate about a career that blends both performance and education, inspiring audiences and the next generation of musicians through infusing both technical mastery and music analysis. She received her Master’s in Music Theory from McGill University in 2021, where she wrote a thesis on the interplay between music and choreography in De Keersmaeker’s choreography to Bartok’s String Quartet No. 4. She has presented her analytical scholarship at regional and national conferences for music theory.

Lindsay is grateful and excited for this collaboration with Winchester Orchestra on Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue!
